Columbus City Ballet School offers serious and gifted students a Pre-Trainee Program to refine their technique and artistry.  Entrance to this program is by audition and invitation only. The program aims to provide detailed instruction, personal attention, and correction in order to prepare students for future professional dance careers with strong support and guidance.

 

Goals:

• Teach original repertory and performance in the professional stage setting
• Teach appropriate rehearsal etiquette, coping strategies, work ethic, and personal responsibilities and expectations of the professional dancer.
• Provide up-to-date classical ballet technique knowledge
• Help students strengthen technique, speed and lightness, attack and linking steps
• Help students understand musicality and movement quality
