Performance Opportunities

Apart from the day-to-day training, it is essential for students to have the opportunity to learn a variety of dance styles from professional instructors and choreographers. CCBS provides performance opportunities in theater settings such as Holiday Production, Repertoire New Generation Dance Concert, Annual Spring recitals, Festival Performances, Special Events, as well as YAGP competitions and Education Outreach performances. You may choose to participate in one, two, or three different performances per year.

pas de quatre Each summer CCBS will invite well-known guest choreographers to hold workshops for advanced ballet students and company members. CCBS advanced students and company members will have a golden opportunity to learn original masterpieces from Petipa to Ballanchine’s ballets, such as Coppélia Act 3, Sleeping Beauty, Raymonda, Cinderella, Le Corsaire Act 3, and Valse Fantasy. Contemporary works will also be introduced.

CCBS also has opportunities to perform new and classical works and present demonstrations for young underserved audiences. In the past few years, Ms. Wu’s ensembles have performed for over 2,000 elementary school students in Clark County, Ohio.

The Early Childhood and Enrichment Programs recital will highlight the students’ progress and experience in dance. Their parents, family, and friends will have the opportunity to see what they have learned during the year.
