December 5: CCBS Winter Gala Performance, The Nutcracker Suite & Mixed Repertory at the Columbus Capitol Theater.

Shir Lee Wu, artistic director of CCBS, will choreograph an excerpt from Carmen.

August 10-15:  CCBS invites Character Dance Guest Master Teacher Lee Chiao from Taiwan to teach Character Dance in Mazurka, Spanish, and Russian Dance.

August 3-19:  CCBS holds “Back to School Summer Intensive.”

July 6-19: CCBS holds its first Young Dancers Summer Intensive Program

May 2-16:  CCBS holds International Spring Ballet Intensive Workshop with Mr. Xu Ding Zhong from Beijing Dance Academy in China.

Alumni News

Alanna Newkirk will attend Marymount College in New York and major in musical theater.

Emily Burk will attend Otterbein College in Columbus with a minor in Dance.

Sarah Crock will attend San Francisco Ballet School and Pacific Northwest Ballet School 2009 Summer Program.

Taylor Axene after finishing her training with Boston Ballet School will attend the Trainee Program with Nashville Ballet.

Miranda Giles, age 11, received the “Hope Award” in the Pre-Competitive Division at the 2009 YAGP in Spartanburg, SC.

Sadie Gladen, age 10, was a top 12 winner at the Pre-Competitive Division at the 2009 YAGP in Spartanburg, SC.

Eleni Rigsby, age 14, was a top 12 winner at the Junior Classical Division at the 2009 YAGP in Spartanburg, SC.
